Celtic are facing an anxious wait on the fitness of frontman Leigh Griffiths ahead of Saturday's Old Firm clash with Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.
The two rivals will go head to head for the first time in four years in the Scottish top flight on Saturday afternoon, but the Hoops are still waiting to see whether key striker Griffiths will be passed fit to start at Celtic Park.
"[Griffiths] had a week's rest. He trained with us all week but not today, that was a light session," Bhoys manager Brendan Rodgers told reporters. "He had a scan and we will see how that is. But he looked good in training.
"Once we get the scan through and have a look at it, we need to look at what the risk would be of playing in the game.
"Of course, if there is a risk for longer term then we can't do it because it is a long season even though it feels like we have been playing for months already."
Celtic have won all three of their opening league games and currently sit at the top of the standings with nine points.
