Celta Vigo confirm Luis Enrique as their new coach for the next two seasons.

Former Barcelona player and Spain international Luis Enrique has been confirmed as the new coach of La Liga side Celta Vigo.

Celta made the decision to part company with Abel Resino early on Saturday, with the club now confirming that Enrique is joining on a two-year deal.

"Luis Enrique is the new coach of Celta after an agreement was reached between the club and coach for the next two seasons," a club statement said.

"Celta want to express their most sincere thanks to Abel Resino for the work he has done in the final stretch of the season, where the team achieved survival."

Celta survived on the last day of the season following a 1-0 win over Espanyol.
