Cardiff City are reportedly considering a move for Derby County midfielder Tom Huddlestone ahead of the closing of this summer's transfer window.
Cardiff are believed to have missed out on re-signing Marko Grujic on loan from Liverpool, which has left head coach Neil Warnock needing to pursue other options in the middle of the park.
According to The Sun, Warnock is keen to add players with Premier League experience, and could now move for Huddlestone before the transfer window closes for business on Thursday.
The 31-year-old only returned to Derby last summer following four years with Hull City, but Cardiff are believed to be confident of turning the midfielder's head with an offer.
Huddlestone, who made four appearances for England between 2009 and 2012, scored twice in 44 Championship appearances for Derby last term.
Cardiff will open their 2018-19 Premier League campaign away to Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
