Jo Inge Berget leaves Cardiff City by mutual consent

Cardiff City announce that Norwegian midfielder Jo Inge Berget has left the club by mutual consent.

Cardiff City have announced that midfielder Jo Inge Berget has left the club my mutual consent.

Berget was one of three Norwegians brought to Wales by Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer in January 2014, but he has made only two appearances for the club.

The 24-year-old scored two goals in eight games during a loan spell at Scottish champions Celtic earlier this season.

He returned to the Bluebirds this week, but Russell Slade sees no future for him at the club and Berget has departed Cardiff with immediate effect.
