Cardiff City complete turnaround against Crystal Palace

Cardiff City come from behind to beat Crystal Palace with a winner from Aron Gunnarsson.

Aron Gunnarsson headed in a second-half winner as Cardiff completed a comeback against Crystal Palace this afternoon.

It was the visitors who got off to the perfect start, when Owen Garvan played in Mile Jedinak who slotted in the opener within the opening four minutes.

The league leaders came forward after the goal and managed plenty of possession, but Craig Noone shot wide from just inside the box in the 16th minute.

Both goalkeepers were tested when first Yannick Bolasie forced David Marshall into action and Craig Bellamy worked Julian Speroni.

Cardiff were level just before the break when Noone struck hard from a Bellamy assist.

Danny Gabbidon had an early second-half chance from a Bolasie corner but could only head his effort wide.

Garvan had a good chance to restore the visitors' lead, but shot wide when well-placed in the box.

In the 73rd minute Cardiff completed the turnaround, with Gunnarsson heading in from a Bellamy corner.

Palace pressed but they could not create another real chance and the points went to the hosts.
