Report: Nottingham Forest want Charlie Austin

Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies is reportedly hoping that he can secure the services of Charlie Austin from Burnley.

Nottingham Forest are reportedly keen on signing Burnley striker Charlie Austin.

The 23-year-old, who has one year left to run on his contract at Turf Moor, has been linked with Premier League side Hull City in recent weeks.

However, Forest manager Billy Davies is hoping that a bid in the region of £4m will convince the Clarets to part with last season's leading goalscorer, according to The People.

The report went on to claim that Davies has turned his attention to Austin after being spurned in his pursuit of Celtic centre-forward Gary Hooper.
