Burnley have played down speculation linking Charlie Austin with a move away from the club.
Reports on Tuesday claimed that Premier League outfit Hull City were close to signing the 23-year-old, who scored 28 goals for the Clarets last season.
However, the club have moved to dismiss talk of Austin leaving Turf Moor.
A statement on Burnley's official website read: "There have been reports from various media sources saying that Burnley FC are close to striking a deal for striker Charlie Austin. These reports are wide of the mark.
"Quite understandably there have been enquiries from a number of clubs but none have met Burnley's valuation of the player.
"Charlie Austin remains part of the squad of Burnley as we prepare for next season's matches."
Austin moved to Burnley from Swindon Town in 2011.
