Former Aston Villa defender Eric Lichaj signs a two-year contract with Nottingham Forest.

Former Aston Villa defender Eric Lichaj has signed a two-year contract with Championship outfit Nottingham Forest.

The 24-year-old, who made 17 appearances in the Premier League for Villa last season, had been available on a free transfer after his contract at Villa Park came to an end.

Forest boss Billy Davies told the club's official website: "Eric is a great signing for us.

"He has experience at the top level of English football and arrives at an important stage of his career. We are very much looking forward to working with him."

Lichaj has made eight appearances for the United States.
