Burnley strike deal for Lukas Jutkiewicz?

Premier League newcomers Burnley reportedly agree a fee with Middlesbrough for Lukas Jutkiewicz as Sean Dyche looks to add another striker to his deep forward ranks.

Burnley are believed to have agreed a fee with Middlesbrough for Lukas Jutkiewicz as Sean Dyche tries to assemble a strike force that will fire them to safety.

The newly-promoted Clarets had apparently given up on the 25-year-old frontman and moved on to Danny Graham after growing frustrated of transfer negotiations.

However, Sky Sports News understands that Burnley have now struck a deal, worth a reported £2.25m, for their top target, who fell out of favour under Aitor Karanka in the second half of last season.

Jutkiewicz, who has netted 11 goals in 47 Boro starts, has also been a consistent goalscorer for Bolton Wanderers and Coventry City in the Championship, but only has one Premier League appearance to his name - as a substitute for Everton in 2008.

He would represent Dyche's second attacking addition of the summer following the acquisition of Marvin Sordell, and would join Sam Vokes, Danny Ings and Ashley Barnes in the forward ranks at Turf Moor.

However, Dyche is reportedly keen to have depth in his striking options, with Vokes expected to miss the rest of 2014 with injury and Ings allegedly prepared to run down the one year remaining on his contract.
