Burnley striker Chris Long pens Fleetwood Town loan deal

Fleetwood Town confirm the signing of 21-year-old Burnley striker and England Under-20 international Chris Long on a season-long loan deal.

Fleetwood Town have confirmed the signing of Burnley striker Chris Long on a season-long loan deal.

The 21-year-old, a former Everton trainee, made 10 league appearances for the Clarets last season as they won promotion to the Premier League.

"He's a player I've known for a long time and I actually tried to sign when I was manager of Wigan," Fleetwood head coach Uwe Rosler told the club website.

Long, an England Under-20 international, has previously had loan spells at MK Dons and Brentford.
