Eibar midfielder Gonzalo Escalante is reportedly a summer transfer target for Burnley, who are willing to pay £6m to sign him from the Spanish club.
The 24-year-old was a key member of the squad that finished 10th in La Liga last term, featuring 30 times from his deep role in front of the back four.
Burnley are interested in signing the Argentine, according to Sky Sports News, having been watched up close by boss Sean Dyche's scouting staff over the past year.
Escalante, formerly on the books of Boca Juniors, has played a direct part in seven goals in his past two top-flight campaigns.
Dyche has already brought in a few new players this summer, splashing out £13m combined on Jack Cork and Jonathan Walters, while also signing former Leeds United defender Charlie Taylor.
