Preview: Leicester City vs. Burnley

Sports Mole previews Saturday's mouth-watering top-of-the-table Championship clash between Leicester City and Burnley.

Two of the Championship's top three sides go head to head in Saturday's early kickoff as Leicester City host Burnley at the King Power Stadium.

The Foxes would move top of the table for at least a few hours if they beat the current league leaders, although they will have to stop a run of two consecutive defeats to do so.

Nigel Pearson's side trail Burnley and Queens Park Rangers by one point having suffered back-to-back losses to Sheffield Wednesday and Brighton & Hove Albion.

The hosts could welcome Ritchie De Laet back into the squad after he played an hour in a developmental match last week to continue his recovery from injury, but Chris Wood (hamstring), Tom Hopper (shin) and Sean St Ledger (groin) are all likely to miss out.

Burnley, meanwhile, will be looking to move four points clear of Leicester and three clear of QPR, who don't start their match away to Blackpool until 3pm.

Sean Dyche's side ended a run of six matches without a win in their last outing, beating Barnsley 1-0 at Turf Moor thanks to a Michael Kightly winner.

Dyche has no fresh injury concerns and is expected to stick with Danny Ings and Sam Vokes up front, with the duo forming a formidable partnership this season, scoring 25 goals between them.
