Plymouth Argyle close in on Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper?

A report claims that Plymouth Argyle are on the verge of signing Brighton & Hove Albion's England youth international goalkeeper Christian Walton on loan.

Plymouth Argyle are reportedly close to securing the loan services of Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper Christian Walton.

The League Two Pilgrims need cover between the posts because of the recent groin injury that was sustained by regular stopper Luke McCormick.

According to the Plymouth Herald, contact has since been made with Brighton regarding the availability of Walton, with a deal expected to be concluded before the weekend.

Earlier this season the 20-year-old, who has been capped by England at Under-19 and Under-20 level, had a loan stint with League One outfit Bury.
