Brentford have signed goalkeeper David Button for an undisclosed fee from Charlton Athletic.

The 24-year-old has signed a two-year contract at Griffin Park after making just six appearances in one season with the Addicks.

Bees manager Uwe Rosler said that Button's opportunities would be better at Brentford because of the recent departure of Simon Moore to Premier League side Cardiff City.

"We decided David was the perfect choice for us," Rosler told the club's official website.

Button will hope that he can secure the number one spot under Rosler, having turned out for 11 clubs on loan in recent years.
