Sports Mole looks at how Brazil could line up for Thursday's World Cup 2022 Qualifying clash with Uruguay.

Brazil will likely have to cope without Eder Militao for Thursday's World Cup 2022 Qualifying battle with Uruguay.

The Real Madrid centre-back started alongside Marquinhos in the recent goalless draw with Colombia and lasted 71 minutes before coming off with a suspected back problem.

Militao's issue is not thought to be anything serious, but Tite is unlikely to take any risks while they wait for further tests, especially with Thiago Silva capable of deputising in the heart of defence.

The Selecao have no fresh selection concerns otherwise and should not fix what is not broken in defence, with Alex Sandro, Danilo and Alisson Becker all holding their places.

Following Casemiro's withdrawal from the squad through injury, Premier League pair Fred and Fabinho should start as the first-choice midfield pairing as Douglas Luiz and Gerson warm the bench.

Neymar and Lucas Paqueta are unlikely to lose their places up top, but Tite will ponder other changes in the final third after his side's toothless showing against Colombia.

Leeds United's Raphinha provided a bright spark during his cameo off the bench in that game, with his potential introduction potentially seeing Gabriel Jesus drop out as Gabriel Barbosa is handed another chance up top.

Brazil possible starting lineup: Alisson; Danilo, Silva, Marquinhos, Sandro; Fred, Fabinho; Raphinha, Neymar, Paqueta; Barbosa
