Dunga: 'Neymar will outscore Pele'

Dunga says that Neymar will usurp the legendary Pele and end his career as Brazil's most prolific marksman of all-time.

Brazil coach Dunga believes that Neymar has what it takes to replace Pele as the country's record goalscorer.

The Barcelona star struck in Thursday's 3-1 win over France to take his total to 43 at international level - 34 short of the Brazilian icon's haul of 77.

Although Dunga is confident that the 23-year-old will overhaul Pele in goals, the former Brazil captain also wants to see Neymar win more World Cups than the three-time winner.

"Neymar is doing very well and will only grow," Dunga told a press conference.

"In regard to [matching Pele's] goals I don't think that will be a problem. But the record we really want him to get is Pele's number of World Cup wins."

Neymar has scored eight of the 17 goals that Brazil have scored since Dunga replaced Luis Felipe Scolari.
