Sunderland boss Gus Poyet slams media after Bradford City loss

Sunderland boss Gus Poyet slams the media after his side's FA Cup exit at the hands of League One Bradford City.

Sunderland boss Gus Poyet has slammed the media after his side were eliminated from the FA Cup by Bradford City on Sunday.

The Black Cats slipped to a 2-0 reverse at the hands of the League One side at Valley Parade, and Poyet was critical of the press after the game.

He said: "If we close Sunderland - if we put a China wall around the city - it would be fantastic. When we let [the press] in and you get [back] out and say what you want, then we've got a problem.

"The problem is [the media] not me. If you write what I say the fans would be on my side."

Poyet's men return to Premier League action when they host West Bromwich Albion next Saturday.
