Phil Parkinson: 'FA Cup semi-final would be bigger than League Cup final'

Bradford City manager Phil Parkinson believes that reaching a Wembley FA Cup semi-final would be a bigger achievement than their League Cup final appearance in 2013.

Bradford City manager Phil Parkinson has claimed that reaching a Wembley FA Cup semi-final would be a bigger achievement than their League Cup final appearance two years ago.

The League One outfit will reach the last four of the FA Cup for the first time in over a century if they beat Reading on Saturday.

Parkinson told BBC Sport: "The FA Cup is a level above the League Cup. This is what being in football is all about. If we can do it this time, it will be the first time since 1911 and this group of players will be remembered.

"The big teams from the Premier League will be casting very envious eyes on ourselves and Reading playing in an FA Cup quarter-final."

On their way to the 2013 League Cup final the Bantams, then in League Two, knocked out three top-flight sides, while this season they have beaten Premier League sides Chelsea and Sunderland.
