Eddie Howe looking to "beef up" Bournemouth squad

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe hints that he is still looking for more new faces to "beef up" his squad ahead of the new Premier League season.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has hinted that he is not yet done in the transfer market ahead of the club's first top-flight campaign.

The Cherries have so far brought in six new faces to Dean Court this summer, including Joshua King from Blackburn Rovers after compensation was agreed between the two clubs.

Howe ideally wants some more additions to his squad before the transfer window ends on September 1, although he insists that his current crop of players are good enough to perform in the Premier League.

"I'm aware we need to beef up in certain areas, but if not, I believe in the players we have already," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

In addition to King, Artur Boruc, Adam Federici, Christian Atsu, Tyrone Mings and Sylvain Distin have all moved to the club this summer.

Bournemouth begin their maiden Premier League season at home to Aston Villa on August 8.
