Bournemouth eye move for Brentford's Jota?

Eddie Howe wants to add Brentford midfielder Jota to his Bournemouth squad, according to reports.

Brentford midfielder Jota is being lined up for a switch to Premier League newcomers Bournemouth after the Bees missed out on promotion, according to reports.

The 23-year-old Spaniard was a key part of the Brentford side that finished fifth in the Championship, but he could not help them overcome Middlesbrough in the playoff semi-final.

However, Eddie Howe is ready to offer the midfielder a route into the top flight as he targets new recruits for the Cherries, reports The Mirror.

Jota, who joined Brentford from Celta Vigo for £1.3m last summer, scored 11 goals in 46 games this season.
