Championship side Brentford have signed former Wolfsburg midfielder Akaki Gogia on a "long-term deal" from German third-tier side Hallescher FC.
The 23-year-old will become a Brentford player when his contract with Hallescher expires later this summer.
Born in Georgia, Gogia has represented Germany's Under-18s and Under-19s. He joined Hallescher from Wolfsburg in 2013 and has scored 19 league goals in the last two seasons.
He is the first signing under Brentford's new club structure. The team is soon to be without a manager as Mark Warburton is leaving despite guiding the club to the Championship playoffs in their first season back in the second tier.
Owner Matthew Benham earlier today appointed his two new co-directors of football - Rasmus Ankersen and Phil Giles - who will help Benham choose a new head coach.
