Bournemouth are reportedly interested in re-signing Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma before the end of the January transfer window.
Sitting outside of the Premier League relegation zone after 18 matches, Bournemouth can be left satisfied with their efforts during the opening half of the campaign.
However, the Cherries have lost seven of their last eight games in the top flight and they are now just four points above bottom spot.
On the back of a takeover, Bournemouth are expected to make changes to their first-team squad over the coming weeks in a bid to boost Gary O'Neil's chances of keeping the club in the division.
While the South Coast outfit have allowed five players to head out on loan, they are yet to make any senior additions ahead of the midway point of the month.

According to The Athletic, Bournemouth hope that will change with a surprise reunion with former star man Danjuma.
During 2020-21, Danjuma contributed 17 goals and seven assists in 35 Championship appearances to earn himself a transfer to Villarreal.
In his first campaign with the Yellow Submarine, the Netherlands international netted 16 strikes and added four assists, with six of his goals coming in the Champions League.
However, as well as no longer being a guaranteed starter at Villarreal, Danjuma has chipped in with just two goals in 10 La Liga encounters this campaign.

That has led to the suggestion that Villarreal are open to negotiating an exit for the right price, it being claimed earlier this week that Everton are one of the frontrunners for the 25-year-old's signature.
Nevertheless, the latest report claims that Bournemouth regard themselves to be in prime position to win the race for Danjuma's signature.
Bournemouth allegedly feel that they are capable of agreeing a loan deal with the option of pushing through a permanent transfer in the summer.
Danjuma still has three-and-a-half years remaining on his contract with Villarreal.
