Team News: Shinji Kagawa returns for Borussia Dortmund against Freiburg

Shinji Kagawa returns to the Borussia Dortmund side as Jurgen Klopp makes three changes for the Bundesliga trip to fellow strugglers Freiburg.

Shinji Kagawa has returned to the Borussia Dortmund side for their meeting with Bundesliga rivals Freiburg.

The Japanese attacking midfielder was a substitute for the 1-0 loss to Augsburg in midweek, but he is given the chance to provide support for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang alongside Marco Reus this afternoon.

Kevin Grosskreutz misses out due to injury, while there is also no place in defence for Sokratis Papastathopoulos, but Neven Subotic and Lukas Piszczek are handed starts.

Freiburg, who start the day two points ahead of bottom club Dortmund, make just one change to the side which was beaten 1-0 by Borussia Monchengladbach as Pavel Krmas returns to replace Immanuel Hohn.

Freiburg: Burki, Sorg, Krmas, Torrejon, Günter, Darida, Frantz, Klaus, Schmid, Dæhli, Petersen

Dortmund: Weidenfeller, Piszczek, Subotic, Hummels, Schmelzer, Gündogan, Sahin, Kampl, Kagawa, Reus, Aubameyang
