Borussia Dortmund continue unbeaten run with draw, fail to maintain perfect start

Dortmund continue their unbeaten Bundesliga run but fail to maintain their perfect start as they are held away to Hoffenheim.

Borussia Dortmund have continued their unbeaten run in the Bundesliga after coming from behind to draw with Hoffenheim at the Wirsol Rhein Neckar Arena.

Sebastian Rudy scored late in the first half for Hoffenheim as he latched on to an Eduardo Vargas through-ball, outpaced Marcel Schmelzer and fired past Roman Burki.

Dortmund began the second half quickly as Marco Reus, who was at the end of most of Dortmund's attacks, fired another effort which Oliver Baumann was equal to.

It was Aubameyang who brought Thomas Tuchel's side level, as he fired high into the net from the edge of the six-yard box following build-up play from Mats Hummels and Gonzalo Castro.

Shinji Kagawa missed the chance to put his side ahead as he fired over from 10 yards from Schmelzer's pull-back.

Gonzalo Castro then went close, latching on to a Henrikh Mkhitaryan through-ball before seeing his effort saved by the Hoffenheim keeper.

Ermin Bickakic missed the opportunity to win the tie for Hoffenheim late on as the Bosnian sent a close-range header wide from a free kick conceded by Mattias Ginter.

Dortmund now sit in second place in the league table while Hoffenheim remain in 17th.
