Neven Subotic: 'We deserve slap for finish against Augsburg'

Neven Subotic criticises Borussia Dortmund for opening the door to Augsburg in the latter stages of their win on Friday night.

Neven Subotic has claimed that the Borussia Dortmund players "deserve a slap" for their performance in the closing stages of their win against Augsburg on Friday evening.

Augsburg struck twice in the final seven minutes to worry Dortmund, who managed to hold on for the 3-2 victory, and Subotic admits that he was disappointed by the lack of concentration shown late on.

"I'm happy that we won, but it was a close call in the end," the central defender told reporters. "We didn't really do that well as a team in the closing stages.

"We stopped defending and Augsburg made the most of their chances. We all deserve a slap for those last 10 minutes."

Dortmund return to Bundesliga action against Freiburg on September 13.
