Marco Reus in contention for Borussia Dortmund start after shaking off injury

Marco Reus has "trained very well" and is now in line to start when Borussia Dortmund take on Hamburg, according to boss Thomas Tuchel.

Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that Marco Reus has overcome his recent knock and is now in the frame to feature against Hamburg.

The 26-year-old picked up an injury in the 4-0 win over Qabala in the Europa League earlier this month, forcing him to miss the derby win over Schalke 04 and Germany's friendly against France.

Having had a fortnight to rest up Reus, who has scored in each of his last three outings, is now ready for action when an in-form Dortmund take on Hamburg at the Volksparkstadion on Friday evening.

"Reus has trained very well and is an option for the starting XI for Friday's match," Tuchel is quoted as saying by Goal.com. "It's great that his recovery went so well.

"I expect an intensive game against a very disciplined opponent. But I expect the team to build on our recent performances."

Reus has found the net eight times for BVB this season, fast closing in on the tally of 10 scored throughout 2014-15.
