Half-Time Report: Pierre-Michel Lasogga earns lead for Hamburger SV against Borussia Dortmund

Pierre-Michel Lasogga breaks the deadlock to hand Hamburger SV a 1-0 lead over Borussia Dortmund.

Pierre-Michel Lasogga has scored the only goal of the first half to hand Hamburger SV a 1-0 lead over Borussia Dortmund.

The visitors created the best opportunity of the early stages when Nicolai Muller took advantage of some hesitant Dortmund defending to drill a shot just wide of the post.

Dortmund improved as the first half progressed, and went close to breaking the deadlock when Kevin Grosskreutz curled wide after earning a yard of space on the edge of the box.

However, the home fans were left disappointed 10 minutes before the break when Lasogga collected a clever pass from Muller before slotting home.
