Poor finishing from both sides has seen the first half between AS Monaco and Bordeaux end without a breakthrough.
Bordeaux came close to breaking the deadlock inside the first five minutes when a loose ball dropped to Thomas Toure, but Danijel Subasic reacted well with a fine save to keep Monaco on level terms.

Yannick Ferreira Carrasco should have put Monaco ahead at the other end a few minutes later as he met a corner with a volley which was beaten away by Cedric Carrasso.
Monaco took control of the game in the latter stages of the first half, and a clearance off the line from Diego Contento to deny Ricardo Carvalho was all that prevented the hosts from taking a lead into the break.
