Jose Riga is once again reportedly on the verge of being sacked as manager of Blackpool.
The Belgian, 57, has won just one game with the Seasiders in the Championship this season since his summer appointment and, following Saturday's 3-0 defeat to Reading, they are seven points adrift of safety after 14 games.
According to the Blackpool Gazette, Riga and chairman Karl Oyston held crisis talks this morning and they could result in Riga being sacked.
If he is removed, then it appears likely that Lee Clark, who is odds-on favourite for the job, could step in after his termination at Birmingham City last week.
Riga's job security has been fragile for much of the season and it especially looked as if he would be on his way when Blackpool approached Burton Albion for Gary Rowett last month, but they couldn't convince the Brewers boss to sign.
Coincidentally, Rowett is now expected to take the vacant Birmingham job left by Clark.
