Preview: Reading vs. Blackpool

Sports Mole looks ahead to the match between bottom-of-the-table Blackpool and out-of-form Reading in the Championship.

Reading will be hoping to end their run of three straight defeats when they host bottom club Blackpool in the Championship this weekend.

A run of six matches without a win, including a 3-0 loss to Bournemouth earlier this week, has seen the Royals slide to 17th in the table.

Despite their poor run in recent weeks, manager Nigel Adkins has insisted that the squad is capable of turning their form around.

He did slam the team's defending following their most recent loss though, which could suggest that he is planning changes at the back for this match, as the team have now conceded three goals in their last three matches.

Meanwhile, Blackpool will be seeking just their second win of the season when they travel to the Madejski Stadium two points adrift at the bottom of the table.

The Seasiders were beaten 1-0 by Derby County earlier this week, leaving them with four defeats in their last seven outings.

Jose Riga welcomed Joan Oriol back from injury earlier this week, and is hoping to have Jose Miguel Cubero available for this match after a couple of weeks out.

When the sides met at the Madejski in January, Reading secured a comfortable 5-1 victory.
