Blackburn boss Steve Kean thinks that the footballing world has "come together" following Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba's cardiac arrest at the weekend.

Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean has admitted that the club will postpone this weekend's Premier League clash with Bolton Wanderers if the Trotters feel that they cannot go ahead due to Fabrice Muamba's critical condition in hospital.

The 23-year-old midfielder is fighting for his life in the London Chest Hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest during Bolton's FA Cup quarter-final with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday

"The whole footballing world has come together," Kean said in a press conference. "Whatever we have to do we would only respect what Bolton want us to do. If they need more time and the game doesn't go ahead we would respect that."

Meanwhile, reports have claimed that Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is open to cancelling the Potters' match at White Hart Lane against Spurs on Wednesday.
