Report: Joan Verdu to leave Real Betis

A report claims that Joan Verdu will leave Real Betis this summer following the club's relegation from La Liga.

Spanish midfielder Joan Verdu will reportedly leave Real Betis following the club's relegation from La Liga to the Segunda Division.

The playmaker joined Betis from Espanyol last summer, but has struggled to find his top form with the Sevilla-based side.

According to alfinaldelapalmera.com, Verdu has a clause in his contract which means that he is free to depart Betis this summer after the club finished bottom of Spain's leading division.

The same report claims that Jordi Figueras has a similar agreement.
