Report: Juventus eye Bayern Munich defender Mehdi Benatia

A report in Italy claims that Juventus are plotting a move for Bayern Munich's Moroccan centre-back Mehdi Benatia.

Juventus have reportedly considered making an approach to sign Bayern Munich defender Mehdi Benatia.

The 28-year-old only arrived at the Allianz Arena from Roma last summer, but he was believed to have been frustrated by a lack of starting opportunities throughout the 2014-15 campaign.

As a result, Juve are prepared to part with around £18m to take Benatia back to Serie A, according to Tuttosport.

The Morocco international made 24 appearances in all competitions for the Bavarians last term.
