Former Barnsley goalkeeper Heinz Muller has revealed that he is currently training with Bayern Munich and could be handed a contract at the club.
The Bundesliga outfit are searching for a new stopper after Pepe Reina and Tom Starke, who are understudies to Manuel Neuer, recently suffered long-term injuries.
Twenty-year-old Leopold Zingerle has been promoted from the reserves as cover, but Bayern could be looking at a more experienced option after Muller trained with them on Monday.
"It's a good thing," Muller told Bild.
"I'm just happy to be in training here, everything else will show."
Muller, who played for Barnsley between 2007 and 2009, is a free agent after leaving Mainz 05 at the end of last season.
