Bayern Munich goalkeeper Pepe Reina suffers calf injury

A calf injury will rule Bayern Munich goalkeeper Pepe Reina out of action "for the next few weeks".

Bayern Munich have confirmed that goalkeeper Pepe Reina will be sidelined "for the next few weeks" with a calf complaint.

The Spaniard picked up the injury during a Paulaner Cup encounter last night.

It is expected that Reina will now undergo a scan, but Bayern do not expect the stopper to return to action until December at the earliest.

The 32-year-old joined Bayern from Liverpool on a three-year deal during the summer.
