Pep Guardiola has placed his faith in youngster Toni Kroos as the German champions travel to face Mainz 05 in the Bundesliga this afternoon.
Kroos will fit into an attacking side, making use of wide threats Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben, while Thomas Muller will look to support frontman Mario Mandzukic in more central positions.
Mainz have set up to provide resistance against Munich, with 05's starting XI featuring industrious midfielders Johannes Geis and Christoph Moritz.
This afternoon's hosts also feature two strikers in attack, with Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Shinji Okazaki starting up front.
