Pep Guardiola: "We've won a tough game"

Bayern Munich head coach Pep Guardiola says that Werder Bremen provided his side with a "tough game" yesterday afternoon.

Bayern Munich head coach Pep Guardiola has conceded that his side were made to work hard during their 1-0 victory away at Werder Bremen yesterday afternoon.

Thomas Muller's 23rd-minute goal proved to be the difference between the two sides as Bayern set a new record of having won their first nine Bundesliga games of the season.

"We've won a tough game. Bremen defended very deep. It wasn't easy to find gaps, especially since we had no wingers," Guardiola told the club's official website.

"We controlled the match well, but you know it'll be difficult towards the end if it's only 1-0. Congratulations to my team. This victory means a lot to me."

Next up for the Bavarians is a trip to Arsenal in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
