Relegation-threatened Freiburg are holding Bayern Munich to a 1-1 draw at half time in the Bundesliga this afternoon.

Bayern thought that they had taken the lead early on, but Mehdi Benatia's header was ruled out for a push.

The visitors opened the scoring on 13 minutes when Bastian Schweinsteiger converted from close range after good work from Mitchell Weiser.

Bayern almost doubled the advantage before the half-hour mark, but Jerome Boateng could only head straight at Freiburg keeper Roman Burki.

Amir Mehmedi levelled things up on 33 minutes with a smart finish from around 20 yards.
