Munir El Haddadi has revealed that he is desperate to turn out for Morocco at the 2018 World Cup.
Munir is still contracted to Barcelona, but the 22-year-old spent last season on loan at Valencia, and is currently with Alaves, where he has scored once in 12 La Liga appearances this season.
The attacker qualifies for Morocco through his father, but has already earned one cap for Spain, which came in a qualifier for Euro 2016.
The Moroccan Football Association is understood to have asked FIFA for special dispensation in order to represent the nation at the 2018 World Cup, and Munir is desperate for good news.
"I'd like to play for Morocco at the World Cup," Munir confirmed to EFE.
Morocco will be present at the finals of a World Cup for the first time since 1998.
