Spain boss Vicente del Bosque has revealed that Barcelona winger Gerard Deulofeu is in his thoughts for the World Cup this summer.
The youngster, who spent the 2013-14 season with Everton, has been included in the La Roja squad for Friday's friendly against Bolivia.
Del Bosque has said that an injury to one of his senior players in the build-up to the tournament could Deulofeu handed a place in the squad for the competition in Brazil.
"He is a young boy who is very good and his performances at Everton have been a very good formative step for him," Del Bosque told Sport.
"If we had to dip into the second team for someone because of injury, he would be one of the leading candidates. We think he is a good solution."
Deulofeu, 20, has scored five times in 13 games for Spain's Under-21's.
