Barcelona's technical director Robert Fernandez has confirmed that Alen Halilovic will leave the club on loan this season.
The 19-year-old arrived at Camp Nou from Dinamo Zagreb last summer, but he has so far spent much of his time playing for Barcelona B.
As a result, the Croatian midfielder will be granted permission to depart Catalonia on a temporary basis in a bid to aid his development.
"Halilovic is sure to go on loan to another team. We have told the player that that's Barça's intention," Fernandez told reporters.
"We'll look for a loan deal where he can continue to develop as a player and come back next year. He's a young player with a lot of quality."
Premier League side West Ham United are among the clubs that are said to be interested in Halilovic's services.
