Andoni Zubizarreta criticises Barcelona kick-off time

Barcelona director of football Andoni Zubizarreta claims that his side "had trouble adapting" to facing Getafe only three days after their Champions League match with PSG.

Barcelona director of football Andoni Zubizarreta has blamed the kick-off time for his side's disappointing performance against Getafe.

Barca faced Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday evening, but were still given the early La Liga start on Saturday.

The Catalan outfit dropped two points against the Capital side in a 0-0 draw, and Zubizarreta has blamed the scheduling for the result.

"We had trouble adapting to the kick-off time and the condition of the pitch, which was too fast and didn't help us much," Zubizarreta told Marca.

"We were unable to move the ball around quickly. We had good chances, but we were unable to score and that was the deciding factor.

"Getafe did a good job and didn't allow us much space. But these things happen in La Liga."

Barca are now four points behind La Liga leaders Real Madrid.
