Gerard Pique responds to criticism

Spanish international Gerard Pique blasts Barcelona's recent critics.

Barcelona centre-back Gerard Pique has told the club's critics to stop comparing the Catalan outfit to teams from the past.

Despite a record-breaking start to their La Liga defence, Barca have come under criticism this season for a change of playing style under new boss Gerardo Martino.

Pique has admitted that the team are playing a different blend of football, but is confident that success will arrive at the end of the season.

"Stop comparing us to the past. We'll try to win every title, but I am sure we'll lose out in any comparisons, just as Tito [Vilanova] said in his day," he told reporters at a press conference.

Barcelona have lost their last two matches against Ajax and Athletic Bilbao.
