Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has said that he is not one of the world's best defenders anymore.

The 27-year-old was once heralded as one of the globe's finest centre-backs, but his reputation has suffered over the past 12 months.

However, the former Manchester United man believes that Luis Enrique is the man to get him back on track.

He told reporters: "I don't think I'm one of the best in the world right now. I didn't show that sort of form in the league last year or at the World Cup.

"I have to get back on track, because if you want to play for Barcelona you have to be one of the three best centre-backs in the world.

"I've been the best before and now I have to get back there again. It's a challenge and I know Luis Enrique can help me do it".

Barcelona are this week training at England's St George's Park.
