Munir El Haddadi reveals brief Atletico Madrid spell

Barcelona teenager Munir El Haddadi says that he slipped through the net at Atletico Madrid.

Barcelona teenager Munir El Haddadi has revealed that he slipped through the net at Atletico Madrid.

Both Atletico and Real Madrid are believed to have targeted the now 19-year-old in his early teens, but Barca's youth system La Masia acquired the forward in 2011.

"I left from Galapagar and went to Santa Ana, then I was briefly with Atletico Madrid and after Rayo Majadahonda I went to Barca's La Masia. Atletico never had me tied down," he told Marca.

Munir has broken into the Barca first team this season, scoring his first league goal in their season opener against Elche.

The youngster has also been called into Spain's latest Under-21 squad.
