Barcelona captain Andres Iniesta has said that having Lionel Messi at Camp Nou is "almost a guarantee of success".

Messi scored 58 times last season as the Catalan outfit won the treble, while he has netted 412 times for his Spanish club since the 2004-05 season.

Ahead of the European Super Cup against Sevilla on Tuesday, Iniesta admitted that his team will always have an advantage due to the genius of the Argentine.

"Having Leo Messi in your side is almost a guarantee of success. We have enjoyed his talents for many years and I hope he can continue in the same vein," Iniesta told reporters.

Iniesta has been promoted to Barcelona's skipper this summer following the departure of Xavi.
