Ricardo Barrios unmoved by Luis Enrique talk

Celta Vigo vice president Ricardo Barrios says that Barcelona have not made an official approach for the club's manager Luis Enrique.

Celta Vigo vice president Ricardo Barrios has insisted that Barcelona have not made an official approach for the club's manager Luis Enrique.

The former Barcelona B boss has been strongly linked with the leading position at the Camp Nou as speculation surrounding the future of current manager Gerardo Martino continues to gather pace.

Enrique is believed to have met Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta earlier this week to discuss next season, but Barrios has said that Celta do not expect to lose the Spaniard's services.

"There's no unrest here. Luis Enrique is the coach of Celta. I can't comment on that meeting in Barcelona. For us he is still the coach of our team and there's nothing else," he told Marca.

"The meeting wasn't good or bad. There is absolutely nothing to say because Luis Enrique is the coach of Celta Vigo. We don't plan to meet with him until the league is over because there's nothing.

"Barcelona haven't spoken to us. The president is away and we are all very happy with the team's season. There is no plan B. Luis Enrique is our plan A because he has one more year on his contract."

Enrique represented Barcelona as a player from 1996 until 2004 before taking charge of their B side from 2008 until 2011.
