Sports Mole looks at how Barcelona could line up against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League.

Barcelona boss Xavi is expected to make a couple of changes to his starting side for Tuesday's Champions League contest with Shakhtar Donetsk in Germany.

The Catalan side would advance to the last-16 stage of the competition with two games to spare if they are able to avoid defeat against the Ukrainian outfit.

Sergi Roberto will again be unavailable for selection due to a calf problem, while Frenkie de Jong remains a doubt with an ankle issue despite recently returning to training.

De Jong trained ahead of El Clasico but then reported with more pain in his ankle, which saw him miss out against Real Madrid, and he was also absent for Saturday's 1-0 win over Real Sociedad.

Xavi will be wary of making too many alterations, as he would be able to shuffle his pack in the final two Group H matches if his side can advance here.

Andreas Christensen might be given the nod in the back three, with Inigo Martinez potentially dropping out, while Raphinha could take the place of Fermin Lopez.

Robert Lewandowski is working his way back from an ankle problem and was replaced just before the hour against Real Sociedad, but he is expected to lead the line here.

Pedri made his return from a thigh issue off the bench against Real Sociedad, but he is unlikely to be considered for a start at this stage of his recovery process.

Barcelona possible starting lineup: Ter Stegen; Araujo, Kounde, Christensen; Cancelo, Gavi, Gundogan, Balde; Raphinha, Lewandowski, Felix
