Lionel Messi has claimed that Luis Suarez can help Barcelona win the Champions League this season.
Suarez joined the Catalan outfit from Liverpool this summer, but has not yet made his debut due to a four-month worldwide ban for a biting incident at the World Cup.
The forward's suspension comes to an end in late October, however, and Messi has backed his fellow attacker to contribute to a successful season.
"We're excited and eager for the competition. We have a great team already, and that's before Luis Suárez is available to play – he'll be a great addition to our front line," Messi said in an interview with Adidas.
"With his presence, as well as the team we currently have, we're hopeful that we can win the Champions League."
Messi has scored five times and registered seven assists in seven games this season.
