Lionel Messi: 'Injuries no excuse for Bayern Munich'

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi believes that Champions League opponents Bayern Munich have a deep enough squad to cope with their injury problems.

Lionel Messi has claimed that Bayern Munich can not use injuries as an excuse if they lose their Champions League semi-final against Barcelona.

The German champions have six first-team players out of action ahead of Wednesday's first leg at Camp Nou, including Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.

Despite having key figures on the sidelines, Messi believes that Bayern still have a deep enough squad to compete at the highest level.

Messi has scored eight goals and provided four assists in 10 Champions League matches this season.
